As you make your way to the Circular Quay in the city center there are numerous beautiful bays that will snake away to your left and right. Sydney harbour is beautiful but like most places it comes at a price if you want to live on or have a view of the water. Prices start in the millions of dollars a quickly skyrocket into what would be the stratosphere for most of us. The Sydney Opera House was started in 1956 and finally completed in 1973. The once controversial masterpiece created by Denmark&#8217;s Jorn Utzon and opened by Queen Elizabeth was made part of UNESCO&#8217;s World Heritage list in 2007. The Opera hose was for much of it&#8217;s construction overshadowed by controversy as it was used a political football due to spiralling costs and engineering problems. Today however Australians are rightly proud of this architectural masterpiece and landmark. The Sydney Harbour Bridge affectionately known as the Coat hanger was started in 1932 and took 6 years to build. It is the world&#8217;s largest but not longest steel arch bridge and is held together by approximately 6,000,000 hand driven rivets. Not sure who had the job of counting them.
